Planting Moon is the First May Full Moon - SOLD

8" x 8" x 1/2" original oil on stretched gallery wrap canvas - $70 including shipping - SOLD -
This year there will be two full moons in May. Planting Moon is one of the names and seems to fit this early moon. Because of a hard frost in mid-April, some crops which were planted early didn't make it through, and must be planted again.

Aren't these called "Blue Moons' also? Hence the expression, "once in a blue moon"?

Yes, I think you're right. There's also another event that triggers a blue moon. Can't quite remember exactly what it is. Looks like it's time to Google, huh?
