urban plein air painting - SOLD

Sandra and I met at 8:00 this morning in downtown Dalton, GA, to capture some colors - other than "North Georgia green green". We were in luck. Traveling along Hamilton Street, there are lots of quaint brightly painted gift shops. "The Yellow Bird" is owned by Sally, who paints bird houses and has many, many garden items in this wonderful little shop. Many years ago the building housed a shoe store, with its large front windows and inviting double glass doors. Stop in sometime and visit with Sally - she's defines Southern hospitality.

If you click the image, you can see the painting is in the blocking in stage. It's mostly finished now. It just needs a little tweaking and I'll post it soon. - this painting has SOLD -
