Meadowlawn Springhouse - SOLD

10" x 8" oil on stretched canvas, painted en plein air - SOLD - thank you R. Boyles! -
The springhouse sits beside the Clisby Austin House in Tunnel Hill, Ga, site of the annual Civil War reenactment. The painting was started on May 6th. I returned to the site on July 14th to finish.
Even though I was standing in the exact same spot on both days, the lighting and atmospheric conditions were different. That's what's so wonderful about painting en plein air. No two days - like snowflakes - are the same. Each is a wonder unto itself.
