8" x 10" oil on canvas covered hardboard - painted en plein air, alla prima - $85 including shipping -It was just before 8am on Tuesday, September 4th - a heavy dew had settled on the meadow. Trees were still in deep shadow, and mist hugged the distance. As the sun struck the grass, countless sparkles skipped across the scene. It was an early morning wonderland.

Beautiful shadow work! To record and interpret a scene is a worthy undertaking. You have given me a sense of your stomping grounds, which I otherwise would never have had.
Thanks for the encouragement Ron! The trees to the left are always in the deep shadow of Chetoogeta Mountain in early morning. It makes for lots of value and temperature changes while I'm painting - always a challenge.
And I'm glad that you've seen a bit of the N Georgia scenery through my paintings. I've been to Eastern Canada just a few times when I was a little kid. I know it's a beautiful country from photos I've seen. I'll probably never get over to the West of Canada, but I know it must a wonderful place to live.
