Many people refer to the full moon in October as the Harvest Moon. However, the Harvest Moon is actually the full moon nearest the September equinox which was September 23rd this year. This fact puts the September full moon, on September 26th, as the Harvest Moon.
The October full moon will be on October 26th and is referred to as the Hunter's Moon, Blood Moon or Sanguine Moon.
