Meadowlawn Shack - SOLD

8" x 10" oil on canvas covered hardboard painted en plein air, alla prima - $85 including shipping - SOLD, thanks Jo ! -
This little shack sits on the edge of the meadow where the annual Civil War reenactment is held in Tunnel Hill, GA. It's used mostly for storage now, but it comes alive during the battle with horses tied to the hitching rail and Yankee soldiers on the porch awaiting orders.

Shacks are one of my favourite things. Tunnel Hill Park is an inspirational place!

Inspirational, yes. It's an ideal place to picnic and fly kites in the Spring, sit under a tree and read (swat the bugs), paint - in short just soak up the sights and sounds of nature. Then of course there's the 2 day Civil War reenactment with its hour long cannon fire - but afterwards it's back to peace and nature. And it's just about 2 miles from my house. :o)
