I'm back from my trip to Richmond, VA.
However, I'm leaving again tomorrow for a paint-out in Gainesville, GA. It's sponsored by the Quinlan Visual Arts Center (www.quinlanartscenter.org). If you're in the area, there'll be lots of us doing plein air work around town, at the marina and at the lake front. Stop by and say "hi". We love to answer questions about our artwork.
I'll be posting the paintings in a few days, so be sure to check back.

Gothic Summer
$100
There has been so much snow and cold weather lately that I decided to go through some older works to find something warm.
This was painted plein air during August and it was hot, hot, hot . I was just remembering how it felt with the sunlight streaming through the canopy of leaves, the air thick with heat and the little buggies buzzing around my ankles.
