Cold Moon Morning

16 " x 20" acrylic on stretched canvas $240

I sometimes paint snow scenes in the Summer.

During an outdoor art show in July 2004, I did this painting from imagination.

People stood watching as I painted the footprints leading from the fence row, crossing the road to the barn. Some were making up stories about the farmer who had put out hay for the horse, wondering which mountain range that might be, and remembering scenes from their childhood.

"Cold Moon" is another name for the full moon appearing in January.

Early Snow at Red Clay

20" x 16" acrylic on canvas
$240

Red Clay was the last capital of the Cherokee
before the Trail of Tears relocation.

The land has a special spiritual quality sensed
by those who take a moment to ponder its
beauty.
